EAST CORINTH and BANGOR – Dorothy “Dottie” Belle Eberly, 73, went home to be with the Lord Sept. 7, 2006. She was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Sidney, the daughter of Charles Maynard and Winona Dorothy (Robinson) Goff. Dottie attended King James Bible Baptist Church, Bangor. She enjoyed making woodcrafts and will be fondly remembered for being an excellent cook. Dottie dearly loved her family and will be sadly missed. She is survived by her children, Karen Babcock-Markham and husband, Thomas, of Pittston, Cindy Dauphinee and husband, Joseph, of Bangor, Chris Eberly of Berlin, Conn., Lori Modery and husband, Gordon, of Bangor, and Lynn Eberly of Bangor; four sisters, Connie Ribbons of California, Charlene Preble and husband, Roland, of Gardiner, Janice Wilder and husband, Earl, of Haynesville, and Anna O’Malley and husband, Robert, of Greenville; six grandchildren, Jennifer Babcock, Christopher Babcock, Michelle Sawyer, Kirk Dauphinee, Renee Spellman and Sherri Babcock; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eddie Eberly in 2005; and by a sister, Phyllis Burnside. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with Pastor Reg Williams, pastor of King James Bible Baptist Church, Bangor, officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth.
