BANGOR – Dorothy “Dottie” Latourette, 84, beloved sister, aunt and friend, passed away May 27, 2005, after a long illness. She was born Jan. 10, 1921, at home in White House Station, N.J. Despite being born with cerebral palsy, Dottie’s God-given strength, determination and persistence allowed her to live a full and happy life. She worked for 35 years, selling newspapers at the White House Commuter Train Station and never missed a day. She also helped raise her youngest brother after the death of their father. Dottie was completely devoted to family. She spent her latter years in Maine close to her brother, Ronald. Dottie was predeceased by her father, John Latourette; mother, Ethel Catlin; sister, Betty Lou Latourette; brother, Conrad P. Latourette and brother, John R. Latourette, all from New Jersey. She is survived by her brother, Ronald E. Latourette Sr. and his wife, Ruth Anne; also numerous nieces and nephews from Maine and New Jersey. Funeral arrangements are being made by Thompson Funeral Home in Corinth, in conjunction with Kearns Funeral Home of Whitehouse, N.J. Interment will be at Rural Hill Cemetery, Whitehouse, N.J.
