BREWER- Dorothy H. Cheney, 83, wife of the late Raymond M. Cheney, died April 6, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Bangor, the daughter of Ralph and Mabel (Washburn) Hatch. She graduated from Brewer High School in 1939 and attended Maine School of Commerce now Husson College. Dorothy worked as a legal secretary for several years and was later employed for more than 25 years in the personnel department at Bangor Mental Health Institute retiring in 1985. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bangor. She is survived by three sons, John D. Cheney of Brewer, David M. Cheney of Lewiston, Ralph E. Cheney of Bowdoinham; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. At her request there will be no services. Interment will be at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
