SWANVILLE – Dorothy I. Beal, 83, passed away Dec. 17, 2007, at her residence. She was born July 3, 1924, in New Orleans, a daughter of Joseph and Eunice (Fairley) Roberson. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Edward N. Beal Sr.; a mother-in-law; and her grandson, Jeremy Beal. Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Thomas Beal and wife, Vicki, of Swanville, and Edward Beal Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Missouri; three daughters, Patricia McCollar and husband, Fred, of Waterville, Mary Rivers and husband, Merton, of Millinocket, and Rose McKinney of Vassalboro; five sisters, Doris of New Orleans, Rose Elvira of Florida, Shirley of New Orleans, Jerlene East of Florida and Bobby Jean Mathrne of Florida; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be announced in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
