PENOBSCOT – Dorothy L. Judkins, 80, died June 2, 2008, surrounded by her family in Blue Hill. She was born May 22, 1928, in Blue Hill, the daughter of Lena L. Leach. She was a 50 plus-year member of Halycon Grange, North Blue Hill. Dorothy was a taxi cab driver and dispatcher in Bangor. She enjoyed gardening and sharing stories with her family and grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Hutchinson; son, David Judkins and his wife, Sally, all of Penobscot; sister, Lorraine Lounder of Ellsworth; brother, Wendall Carter and his wife, Althea, of Michigan. She was grandmother to six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and a large extended family. Family and friends may call 1 p.m. until time of service 2 p.m. Friday at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
