WASHBURN – Dorothy M. Plissey, 78, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at a Caribou nursing facility, following a long illness. She was born April 6, 1926, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Orrin E. and Isabelle (Trecartin) Lannigan. She attended school in Presque Isle and worked for The Aroostook Medical Center for more than 25 years. Dot met and married Carroll Plissey in 1975. She enjoyed cross country skiing, walking her dog, as well as pottery and ceramics. Dot will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and caring friend. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, one daughter, Pamela Wyatt of Las Vegas, Nev.; sons, Peter Pelone and his wife, Carolyn, of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Michael Pelone and his wife, Marcia, of Buffalo, N.Y., John Veeneman and his wife, Beth, of Tampa, Fla.; stepdaughter, Julee Maynard of Mapleton; a sister, Joyce Hartt of Presque Isle. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Michelle and Kristina Wyatt, Cindie Wyatt Hernandez, Sara Pelone Houghton, Neil Pelone, Madison Veeneman; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Carroll and family would like to thank one of Dot’s best friends, Nancy Tarr for all the help she has given with the care of Dot over the past 12 years. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn.
