SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – Dorothy Mae (St. Louis) Overcash, 85, wife of Charlie W. Overcash, passed away March 19, 2008, at a Summerville, S.C., health care facility. She was born Nov. 20, 1922, in Milford, the daughter of Leon and Gladys (Bouchard) St. Louis. Dorothy was educated in Carmel schools and worked many years at Viner Shoe Factory, Bangor. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and loved crocheting items for family, friends and charitable organizations. She also loved making numerous other arts and crafts. She had a special fondness for animals, especially their two dogs, Speck and Benji. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Charlie W. Overcash of Summerville, S.C.; a daughter, Linda LaRochelle of Altadena, Calif.; a son, Larry LaRochelle and his wife, Victoria, of Pushaw Lake; two grand-daughters, Mrs. Jennifer Lively and her husband, Christopher, of Lovell and Diane LaRochelle of Lisbon Falls; a great-grand-daughter, Alexandra Lively; two sisters, Helen Bonder and Jeannette Sylvester and her husband, Roger, of Carmel; three brothers, Leon St. Louis and his wife, Rita, of Carmel, Harold St. Louis of Hermon and Richard St. Louis and his wife, Donna, of Brewer; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters, Hazel Jarvis, Alyce Pitman, Evelyn Dunton, Virginia Tracey and Phyllis Smith; and two brothers, Donald and Eugene St. Louis. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
