BUCKSPORT – Dorothy Mae Ellis, 87, passed away peacefully, Oct. 29, 2005, in Ellsworth. She was born April 7, 1918, in Bangor. Dorothy was a member of the Evangelical Baptist Church, Bucksport and the Bucksport Senior Citizens, where she loved to volunteer in the dining room. Although Dot had no living relatives, the residents in the Bucksport Square Apartments became family, and part of her life, and she could not get along without them, Patsy, Lee, Phyllis, Brenda, and Nancy, she loved them all. Many other friends, including Valerie Sulya, Lisa Littlefield, Frances Sangillo and Glen Powers and her family, will also remember her. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Evangelical Baptist Church, Bucksport, with Pastor Michael Donato officiating. Interment will be Maple Grove Cemetery, Prospect. Arrangement by the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
