HOULTON – Dorothy S. MacDonald, 76, wife of the late Leo MacDonald, died Sept. 11, 2005, at her home. She was born Nov. 21, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Joy Raymond and Helen (McCambridge) Seaman. Dorothy worked many years for area hospitals and also worked as a volunteer with Hospice of Aroostook for 15 years. She enjoyed playing Canasta weekly with friends. She was a member of the New Limerick Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by four children, John of Houlton, Patricia of Bangor, Jay of Portland and Michael of Houlton; a grandson, Jacob Leo of Chicago, Ill.; and a son-in-law, Gary Kasparek. In addition to her husband, Leo, she was predeceased by a daughter, Diane; as well as a brother and a sister. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at the Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the New Limerick Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Tuttle officiating. Interment will be in Linneus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to New England School of Broadcasting, care of Diane Kasparek Memorial Fund.
