PATTEN – Douglas “Scoot” Lane Sr., 59, died Feb. 12, 2007, in Augusta. He was born June 19, 1947, in Island Falls, the son of Alton and Ruby (Dickinson) Curtis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Helena (Tweedie) Lane of Patten; four sons, Corie Douglas Lane and Niki Pocock of New Hampshire, Douglas Theodore Lane and his wife, Kama, of Millinocket, Kenneth John Lane and Krista McGraw and Brian Keith “Ralph” Lane and Destiny Richmon, all of Patten; five granddaughters, Morgan, Selena, Shannon, Paige and Jayden; three brothers, Terrance Lane of Patten, Daniel Curtis of Benedicta and Steve Curtis of Stacyville; one sister, Ann Morse of Patten; two sisters-in-law, Rita Perreault-Goodwin and her husband, Bob, of Merrimac, Mass., and Helen and her husband, Chris Willigar and family, of Sherman; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls. A graveside funeral service will be held in the spring.
