CAPE ELIZABETH – Douglas V. Griffin, 57, died July 17, 2008, at his home. He was born April 27, 1951, the son of Vaughn and Jackie (Higgins) Griffin. Douglas was a graduate of Presque Isle High School. He most recently worked for Pineland Farms, Portland. He was predeceased by his mother, Jackie H. Griffin. Surviving him are his son, Brock Douglas Griffin of Portland; Brock’s mother, Judy Perkins of Presque Isle; father, Vaughn Griffin and his wife, LoRita, of Lincoln; brother, Bruce Griffin and his wife, Dolores, of Portland; sisters, Vicki Walters and her husband, William, of Stratham, N.H., Peggi Bryer and her husband, Carlton, of Lowell, Mass., and Jan Hagen and her husband, Daniel, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; stepsister, Susan Dreher and her husband, Joseph, of Freeport; stepbro-ther, Daniel Hall and his wife, Patricia, of Bangor; nieces and nephews, January Roberts, Brenna Gardiner, Meredith Walters, Leslie Walters, William Griffin, Russell Griffin and Griffin LeClair. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the charity of your choice.
