STOCKTON SPRINGS – Douglas William Stover, 44, of Stockton Springs, beloved son of Robert and Nancy Stover, passed away Monday, April 4, 2005, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Aug. 6, 1960, in Belfast. Douglas had lived in Stockton Springs for 24 years. He worked at Stovers Jewelry Store, Ye Olde Coin Shoppe, and at the Journal Press and Ellsworth American as a printer. He also was a watch and clock maker in Stockton Springs for several years. Douglas enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and operating his ham radio 11 years “N10JE” silent key. He was predeceased by his uncle, William H. Stover; and his grandparents. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fianc?e, Lynn Soper and her son, Christopher, who loved him very much; his brothers, Robert Stover Jr. and wife, Judy, of Belfast, James Stover and wife, Beth, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Kenneth Stover and wife, Donna, of Bridgeton; one nephew, Nathan Stover of Arizona; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at the Belfast United Methodist Church, Mill Lane, Belfast. Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to the building fund at the church. Arrangements are under the care of the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
