FORT KENT – Dr. R. Ken Roy, 51, died Feb. 6, 2006, surround by his loving family. Ken was the beloved son of Hercules and Maureen (Daigle) Roy of Fort Kent, honored husband of Donna Rossignol-Roy and devoted father of David Roy. Dr. Roy served his God, his family and his community with passion and devotion. He was a respected eye doctor for 23 years. His love for skiing radiated the trails and he devoted much volunteer time to Lonesome Pine Trails and Maine Winter Sports Center. He was especially fond of developing his land and enjoying the companionship of his horses. Ken was an inspiration of faith and hope. He grew all of our faith with his and it was contagious. He challenged us to be better individuals, appreciating every day to its fullest. Ken’s motto was “everyday is a good day no matter what.” Please come join us in a memorial celebration of Dr. Ken Roy’s Life 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the University of Maine Fort Kent Fox Auditorium.
