LINCOLN, Neb. – Dr. Ralph W. Ludwick Jr., 88, husband of Hope (Weather-bee) Ludwick, died Aug. 9, 2005, at a Lincoln, Maine hospital. He was born Nov. 30, 1916, in Lincoln, Neb., the son of Edithe T. (Roberts) and Dr. Ralph W. Ludwick Sr. Dr. Ludwick graduated from Lincoln High School in 1934 and from the University of Nebraska Dental College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and remained in the Naval Reserve from which he retired as a captain. He married Hope Weatherbee of Lincoln, Maine, in 1944, and they spent their summers vacationing in Maine. He was a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, American Prosthodontics Society, the American College of Dentistry, and Westminster Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, Hope, he is survived by two sons, William A. Ludwick and Fredie of Centennial, Colo., Edward G. Ludwick and Trish, of Spring Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Cristy Klaver and Robert, of Bend, Ore.; a grandson, Todd Ludwick; and a brother, Dr. William E. Ludwick and Teedee, of Plymouth, Minn. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his twin sister, Ruth Folsom. Services and burial will be in Lincoln, Neb. at a later date.
