LINCOLN – Durmont L. Grant, 67, husband of Linda (Tripp) Grant, went home to be with the Lord May 28, 2008. He was born July 22, 1940, in Winn, the son of Herbert and Kathleen (Hulbert) Grant. His daughters, Michelle and Jeannine, were a big part of his life. Durmont drove trucks all his life. His job took him all over the country. He had many friends. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Durmont loved to tell jokes to all his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by two daughters, Michelle Lindsay and her husband, Stephen, and Jeannine Godbyr and her husband, Warren; four grandchildren, Charisse Godbyr, Magdelina Lindsay, Justin Godbyr and Joshua Lindsay; a sister, Carlene Hanscom and her husband, Hilton; brothers, Herbert and Horace of Connecticut, and Joel and his wife, Tammi, of Winn; stepbrother, Donald Grant of Connecticut; stepsisters, Muriel Wescott and Ruth Bracy of Bangor; many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Durwood, Dana and Gregory; and stepbrothers, Richard and George Grant. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Upcott officiating.
