PENOBSCOT – Dwight R. Webster, 92, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at his home, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 3, 1911, in Castine, the son of Emery and Mable (Bowden) Webster, one of 13 children. Dwight is survived by his daughters, Corinne Sanborn of Hancock, and Lucille Fellows of Augusta; five grandchildren, Bill Sanborn, Debra Parker, Michael Fellows, Lorraine and Laura Fellows; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lewis Webster and Lloyd Webster, both of Penobscot, and Arthur Webster of Bucksport; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Arlene C. (Bowden) Webster in 1992; and nine siblings. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at the Castine Cemetery, Castine. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dwight’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086-1240.
