HOULTON – Edgar A. McCormick, 86, died Jan. 23, 2004, at his residence. He was born July 2, 1917, at Houlton, the son of Thomas and Ada (Astle) McCormick. Edgar attended the Houlton United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp during World War II. He was employed by Houlton Truck Express for many years, then worked for Dead River Oil Co. for more than 20 years, until his retirement. Edgar is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie (Bates) McCormick of Houlton; one daughter, Dawn Frazier of Natick, Mass.; two sons, James McCormick of West Point, Utah, Rodney McCormick of Hallowell; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Grace Evans of Franklin, Mass.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev. Pat MacHugh officiating.
