PRINCETON – Edith L. Libby, 80, died Jan. 2, 2004, at a Calais hospital. She was born in Princeton, April 15, 1923, the daughter of Etta-Belle Fitch. She was predeceased by a sister, Edwina “Jitts” Niemeyer; one son, Rodney Allen Libby; and one great-grandson, Jeremy Richard Bailey. Surviving are one son, Larry Libby and his wife, Amy, of Indian Township; one daughter, Lana Bailey and her husband, Larry, of Grand Lake Stream; a daughter-in-law, Connie Libby of Princeton; one brother, Rodney “Sonny” Fitch and his wife, Mary, of Princeton; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren, Richard and Brent Bailey, Jeffrey, Bobbi-Jo, Larry II, Charles and Hunter Libby, Tammy Hood; seven great-grandchildren, Ted, Gina, Joseph, Gabreelle Bailey, Derek Farquharson, Thomas and Haley Libby. Spring graveside services will be at the Princeton Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine, 87 Elm St., Suite 206, Camden, ME 04843. Arrangements are by the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. Envelopes for the donations are available at the funeral home.
