ABBOT – Edith (Stewart) Limbert, 88, died June 4, 2005, as the result of an automobile accident in Sangerville. She was born Jan. 16, 1917, at Nyack, N.Y., a daughter of John and Arzilla (Harvey) Stewart. She graduated from Nyack High School and married Bradford Park Limbert Sept. 21, 1940. After living in Closter, N.J., they moved to Abbot in 1977. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church of Nyack, N.Y., the Knickerbocker Hook and Ladder Ladies Auxiliary, and the Abbot Historical Society. In addition to her husband of Abbot, she is survived by a son, Peter Limbert of Haddon Heights, N.J.; two daughters, Priscilla Watson of Closter, N.J. and Deborah Rocque of Manchester; a sister, Fay Bergman of Clover, S.C.; two granddaughters, Jessica Bancroft of Westbrook and Elizabeth Bancroft of Marlton, N.J. Friends may call from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak Street, Guilford. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy Moore, Vicar of St. Augustine’s Parish officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in New York State.
