CARIBOU and WASHBURN – Edna E. Jordan, 91, was received into the loving arms of her Savior Feb. 28, 2006. She was born Jan. 5, 1915, in Caribou, the daughter of Henry William and Estella (Holmes) Doak. She was employed as a nurses aid at Cary Memorial Hospital and then at Cary Medical Center, until her retirement. Edna was a member of the Washburn Pentecostal Church. She loved sewing, crocheting, tending lovingly to her beautiful array of flowers and loved to read her Bible. Edna is survived by two sons and their wives, Kenneth B. and Cindy Jordan of Puyallup, Wash. and Robert E. and Debbie Jean Jordan of Caribou; one daughter, Wilda Stone of Lee, Mass.; a brother, Edgar William Doak of Caribou; 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Beecher Colby Jordan in 1999; a son, Gerald Jordan; a daughter, Katherine Corey; and four sisters and three brothers. Friends may call noon March 3, until time of services, at the Washburn Pentecostal Church, which will be held 2 p.m., at the church, with the Rev. Bruce Blakney, pastor, officiating.
