LEVANT – Edna Louise Arnold, 73, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Feb. 11, 2004. She was born July 2, 1930, in Levant, the daughter of Arthur Stanley and Doris Louise (Batchelder) Griffin. She was always very active in her church. Edna was a true caregiver and enjoyed helping people and was always willing to give an extra helping hand. Her family was her life and she loved and adored her grandchildren. Edna is survived by two sons, Edwin Arnold and his wife, Linda, Arthur Arnold Jr. and his wife, Sue, all of Levant; four brothers, Raymond, Reginald, Paul and Galen Griffin, all of Levant; two sisters, Betty Treadwell of Veazie, Marie Kohtala of Vienna; four grandchildren, Dawn Gregory of Covington, Ky., Rebecca Arnold of Sunman, Ind., Matthew Arnold of Bangor and Jenna Arnold of Levant; a great-grandchild, Evey Lynn Gregory of Covington, Ky., and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Exeter, with Pastor Stanley Griffin officiating. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in the spring at Waugh Cemetery, Levant.
