LIMESTONE and CARIBOU- Mrs. Edna M. Edgecomb, 75, died Dec. 16, 2003, at a Caribou health care facility. She was born April 1, 1928, in Limestone, the daughter of Vetal Sr. and Julia (Parent) Martin. She attended local schools and was a communicant of the St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. She was employed by several area businesses, including Kelley’s Restaurant, Limestone. Edna was a very loving person who graciously volunteered numerous hours of her time at Cary Medical Center, Caribou. She enjoyed playing cards and painting sun catchers and loved to tell jokes and stories. Edna will be remembered as a very dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family greatly and who was generous to everyone. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William C. Edgecomb; six brothers, Louis, Melvin, Hubert, Emilie, Lawrence and Vetal Jr. Martin; three sisters, Almeida O’Bar, Rose Smart and Florence Ouellette. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Martin and Mary Edgecomb of Converse, Texas, Ronald “Jeff” and Mary Edgecomb of Augusta; three daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Roger Cyr of Ocala, Fla., Carolyn and Bruce True of Big Cove Tannery, Pa., Charlotte Cote of Limestone and her special friend, David Hopkins, of Easton; one brother, Leo Poitras of Rhode Island; one sister, Lucille Rossignol of Auburn, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, Michael and Christopher Edgecomb of Converse, Texas, Troy Cyr of Arizona, Trisha Snodgrass of Ocala, Fla., Mark True of Hampton, Va., Beth Watkins of Adamstown, Md., Desirae Cote of Ocala, Fla., Matthew Cote of Limestone; five stepgrandchildren, Trudy Kopyc of West Gardiner, Tracy Brown of Michigan, Carrie Larson of New Hampshire, Paul Larson of Berwick, Nathan Larson of Caribou; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where evening prayers will be recited at 7:45 p.m. by the Rev. David Raymond. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Main Street, Limestone, with the Rev. David Raymond celebrant. A time of fellowship with refreshments will be held at the St. Louis Catholic Church reception area, immediately following the funeral mass.
