FRANKFORT – Edna Pearl (Seekins) Clegg, 67, passed away July 16, 2006, surrounded by her loving family, while at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 3, 1938, in Stockton Springs, the daughter of Russell Clyde and Pearl (Shute) Seekins. Edna was a graduate of Stockton Springs High School and had been a resident of Frankfort since 1963. She enjoyed cooking, but the focus of her life was her family. She especially found great enjoyment in caring and being with her grandchildren. Edna will be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, mother, sister and grandmother. She is survived by her mother, Pearl Seekins of Searsport; three daughters, Debra M. Clegg and Carmen D. Clegg, both of Frankfort and Lisa Pearl Phillips and her husband, David, of Irmo, S.C.; one brother, Harold Russell Seekins and his wife, Jane, of Orland; a sister-in-law, Harriett Seekins of Stockton Springs; three grandchildren, Jennifer M. Parker, Sarah N. Phillips and Holly E. Phillips; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa M. Perrigo and Stephanie P. Perrigo; five aunts, two uncles and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Russell; and brother, Clifford Morris Seekins. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Art Cotton, pastor of the Stockton Springs Community Church, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Edna P.
