VAN BUREN – Edna Sirois, 87, died Aug. 13, 2008, at a Van Buren health care facility, after a long illness. She was born Aug. 7, 1921, in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, daughter of Joseph and Louise (Gervais) Cyr. She was a member of Evangeline Circle; Daughters of Isabella; American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 49 and Van Buren Fire Department Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Henry Sirois of Van Buren; three sons, Donald Sirois of Van Buren, James Sirois of South Berwick and Ken Sirois of Presque Isle; two daughters, Kathleen Marquis of Seattle and Lisa Laplante and her husband, John, of Bath; two bro-thers, Guy Cyr of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, and Norman Cyr of Grand Falls, New Bruns-wick; two sisters, Lucy Laplante of Cyr Plantation and Claire Parent of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until time of service at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.
