CONNER and CONNECTICUT – Edna (Bossie) Thibodeau, 96, of Brooklyn, Conn., died Sept. 27, 2003, at home. The wife of the late Alcide M. (Babe) Thibodeau, she was born on March 8, 1907, in Stockholm, the daughter of Eloi and Modes (Chasse) Bossie. A resident of Maine for most of her life, she also lived in Florida and spent the last several years in Connecticut. Mrs. Thibodeau worked as an LPN in both Florida and Connecticut. Mrs. Thibodeau is survived by her son, Maurice Thibodeau, with whom she made her home; a daughter, Jean T. Vallad of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Madeline Depolito of Pinnelas Park, Fla. and Georgette Feuerborn of Ottawa, Kan.; a daughter-in-law, Florida Thibodeau of New Britain, Conn.; 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Alcide and Irvin “Steve” Thibodeau; a grandson, Breck Thibodeau; a sister, Edwina; and three brothers, Eddie, Edwin and Edgar Bossie. There were no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at St. Stanislaws Church, Brooklyn, Conn. Mrs. Thibodeau’s ashes will be brought to Caribou and laid to rest next to her husband. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Sacred Heart Church, North Caribou. Mrs. Thibodeau’s nephew, Fr. Clement Thibodeau will give the eulogy.
