MILLINOCKET – Edrick J. Cormier, 93, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Mountain Heights Health Care Facility, Patten. He was born Dec. 9, 1913, in Millinocket, the son of Onesime and Annie (Cyr) Cormier. Bucky attended Millinocket schools prior to joining the work force. He spent a year and a half working on the Alaskan Pipeline and then returned home to Millinocket, where he started a grocery delivery service. He worked for many years as a salesman for the Harris Bread Co., retiring in the mid-1970s. After his retirement, Bucky worked part time as a watchman for the Woodlands Division of GNP. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Winifred E. (Higgins) Cormier; two daughters, Carol Jean Manzo of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Lois Ann Daigle and her companion, Kenny Cummings, of Haines City, Fla.; a brother, Percy Cormier and his wife, Pat; two sisters, Cecile “Sue” Hartt and Annabelle Mowbray, all of Millinocket; five grandchildren, Jaylene Wedge and her husband, Paul, of Ellsworth, Anna Foldesi and her husband, Bryan, of Everett, Wash., Candy Crandall and her husband, Jug, of Oakfield, Deeann Manzo and her companion, Cal Wilson, of Millinocket and Fred Manzo Jr. and his companion, Teri Deourin, of Bangor; six great-grand-children, Angela Manzo of Ellsworth, Erica Crandall of Harrington, Brandi Crandall of Bangor, Alicia Crandall of Oakfield and Bryanna and Suzanne Foldesi of Everett, Wash.; two great-great-grandsons, Derek and Jeremy of Ellsworth; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four sisters, Yvette Lebel, Irene Ingalls, Pauline Smart and Isabelle Cormier; and three brothers, Camile “Buster,” Ludgie and Wilfred Cormier. Friends are invited to visit with the family 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at Bouchard – Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket.
