WINTERPORT and NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Edward “Crazy Eddie” A. Flewelling, 62, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at a Bangor nursing facility. He was born Sept. 30, 1945, in Houlton, the seventh of 11 children to Ralph C. and Lucy M. (Sparks) Flewelling. Edward grew up in Limestone and later moved to Nashville, Tenn., where he pursued a life of music and good times. His band and music friends were very important to him. He is survived by three brothers, Joe, Frank and Mark Flewelling. The family thanks a special friend, Steve Holmes, for bringing Eddie back to Maine to spend the last of his time with his family. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Linwood Flewelling; and five sisters, Florence Hale, Theresa Nason, Arlene Cosman, Norma Benjamin and Lois Donovan. At Edward’s request, a private ceremony will be held in Tennessee. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives, 205 Center St., Bangor.
