LIMESTONE – Edward Henry Cote, 85, husband of the late Eva M. Cote, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at a Limestone boarding facility, following a brief illness. He was born Oct. 2, 1918, at Drummond, New Brunswick, the son of Marshall and Annie (Michaud) Cote. He attended Drummond schools and served in the Canadian Armed Forces during World War II. Mrs. Cote was married to Eva Marie Godbout on June 28, 1948, and was a 52 year resident of Limestone. He was a communicant of the St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone, and was a talented welder and carpenter and possessed a special skill for working with his hands. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cote was predeceased by his wife, Eva M. (Godbout) Cote on March 5, 1985; a brother, Herbert Cote; five sisters, Laurette Morin, Louise Castonquay, Lillian Bourgion, Ester Godreau and Edna Woodall. He is survived by three sons, Almond Cote and his fianc_e, Amy, of Wilton, N.H., Ivan Cote and his fianc_e, Penny, of Limestone, and Marshall Cote of Waterville; five daughters, Marie Novella Goldberg and her fianc_, Archie LaPointe of Caribou, Carol Mitchell and her husband, David, of Monmouth, Linda Corbin of Sanford, Theresa Howard and her husband, Philip, Marilyn Warner and her husband, Gary, all of Limestone; four brothers, O’Neal Cote of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Ferdinand and Amos Cote, both of Connecticut, Joseph Cote of Caswell; one sister, Emiley Lang of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. L. Chanel Cyr. Friends may also call Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure for the St. Louis Catholic Church, Main Street, Limestone, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David R. Raymond celebrant. Interment will take place at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Drummond, New Brunswick, later in the spring. A time of fellowship with refreshments will be held at the St. Louis Parish Hall immediately following the funeral mass. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Cote to the Robert A.
