BURLINGTON – Edward Mo-ore Wallace passed away Feb. 23, 2008, at a Bangor hospital, from pneumonia. He was born Oct. 1, 1922, in Roslyn, N.Y., to Stanley and Mildred Wallace. He attended schools in Orono and New York. During World War II he worked as an airplane mechanic. After the war, he married Edna Tessie, had six children and lived in Maine, where Ed was a pipefitter. During his second marriage to Susan Brown, he lived in California. Divorced, he retired and returned to Maine to live in the family camp in Burlington. He was a gunsmith and woodworker, who built beautiful cedar strip canoes and hand carved jewelry boxes. He is survived by a sister, Jean Cameron; five of his children, Norma Kerwin, Lyn Ballou, Steve Wallace, Dale Wal-lace and Michele Wallace; his four grandchildren, Ben Kerwin, Jacob Wallace, Caitlin Ballou and Amber Brimstin; his first wife, Edna Wallace; second wife, Susan Brown; and his be-loved dogs, Feisty and Susie. His ashes will be buried in the spring.
