HANCOCK – Eldred L. Carter, 53, died June 1, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 12, 1955, in Bangor, the son of Vincent and Yvonne (Abbott) Carter. He is survived by his mother, Yvonne Carter of Hancock; two brothers, Vinnie Carter and his wife, Barbara, of Gouldsboro and Bradley Carter and his wife, Debbie, of Hancock; one sister, Dianne Potter and her husband, Jerry, of Gouldsboro; two nephews, John and Adam; six nieces, Erin, Denise, Miranda, Cheri, Stephanie and Rachel; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by many special friends; and a special family friend, Bess Carter. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by one brother, Dennis. A graveside service will be celebrated 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Riverside Cemetery, Hancock, with Pastor Mike Page officiating.
