MILFORD – Eleanor Blanchard, 90, died peacefully Sept. 8, 2006, at Brewer Rehab and Living Center, after a brief illness. She was born March 23, 1916, in East Winn, the daughter of Ivan and Velma Trott. She lived in Milford for many years, worked in local shoe shops and at the James River Mill, Old Town. In 1972, she and her husband moved to Clearwater, Fla., where they spent the next 28 years. Eleanor enjoyed her time in Florida and made many friends there. For the last five and one half years, she lived at Marsh Island Apartments, Old Town, where she found more friends, as well as enjoying the seniors club. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Amero and husband, Gary, of Milford; granddaughters, Lisa Mitchell and Carla Fearon of Old Town; great-grandchildren, Randi-Lee Littlefield of Brewer, Gary Fearon and Taylor Littlefield of Old Town; sisters, Charlotte Nichols of Brookfield, Mass., and Ann Bouchard of Millinocket; brother, Lloyd Trott of Lincoln; many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Raymond Blanchard in 2000; great-grandchild, Haley Littlefield; sister, Irene Webster; brothers, Bertram, Robert, Reginald and Vinyl. At Eleanor’s request there will be no funeral service. Graveside services will be conducted at a later date.
