BAR HARBOR – Eleanor Craig Tabb, 82, died May 19, 2004, at her home. She was born Oct. 4, 1921, in Portsmouth, N.H., the daughter of Charles H. and Charlotte M. (Paul) Craig. Eleanor had been a registered nurse at MDI Hospital in Bar Harbor for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Bar Harbor Congregational Church, Maine State Nurses Association, as well as a member of the board of directors of MSNA. She was a Girl Scout leader all over the county and had been the local chapter organizer of the AARP. She is survived by six daughters, Judith M. Craft of Armada, Mich., Lynn K. O’Neal of Brewer, Elaine F. McGhee of Warwick, R.I., V. Yvonne Tabb and Marilyn A. Vinette, all of Bar Harbor, and Elizabeth A. Brown of Florida; one sister, Emily C. Allen of Bar Harbor; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by Loyce Vickery, a younger sister. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
