MILLINOCKET – Eleanor L. Grantham, 90, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at a local health care facility. She was born in Lamoine, Aug. 6, 1914, the daughter of Frank and Florence (Hodgkins) Worcester. Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Millinocket. She was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Women’s Fellowship of the First Congregational Church in Millinocket. In her spare time, after taking care of her family and home, she loved to crochet. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Margaret “Margie” Goode of Millinocket; one brother, George Worcester of Lincoln; two sisters, Florence DeVoe of Millinocket and Margaret Haynes of Virginia; several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Del Grantham; her son, Charles Grantham; her grandson, Douglas Gould; three brothers, Fred, Donald and William Worcester; two sisters, Pearle Hunter and Gladys Rafford. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lyn Bradley officiating. Spring burial will be held in Millinocket Cemetery.
