CARMEL – Eleanor Cecelia Dunton, 83, wife of the late James A. Dunton Sr., died March 1, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1921, in Etna, the daughter of George W. and Esther (Sylvester) Morse. Eleanor was formally employed by Striar Textile of Orono. She was a member of the Carmel Union Congregational Church and was an avid gardener who will be remembered for her vegetables and butter. Surviving are two children Harry L. Dunton and his wife, Mary, of Holden, Sandra M. Stormann and her husband, Clyde, of Carmel; a daughter-in-law, Carol Dunton; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grand-children; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; a son, James A. Dunton Jr.; one brother, Ernest Morse; and a sister, Lizzie Harris. Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A graveside service will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced at the Highland Cemetery, Carmel with the Rev. Bert D.
