NEW YORK and FORT KENT Elijah B. Long, 30, died April 2, 2005, in New York, N.Y. He was born Jan. 20, 1975, in Fort Kent, the son of Deborah L. Daigle and Philip W. Long. He was an avid environmentalist, enjoyed philosophy, loved to debate and thrived on music and art. He was a real people person. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his mother of Fort Kent and his father of Moundsville, W.Va.; his 6-year old daughter, Mia Conn of Pittsburgh, Pa.; four siblings, Prahlad Long of Moundsville, W.Va., Prema Long of Farmington, Jeremy Long and Philip Long III, both of Fort Kent. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the Christ Congregational Church in Fort Kent with Pastor John Woodward officiating.
