FRANKLIN – Elizabeth “Liz” Jean Rabenberg, 48, loving companion of Alden Bunker Jr., died April 6, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 5, 1959, in Britton, S.D., the daughter of Charles R. and Amaryllis (Ehlers) Rabenberg. Liz enjoyed motorcycling, fine dining and a nice glass of wine. She loved dressing up and wearing her hats. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the many trips she and Alden took; one of her favorite spots was Schoodic Point. She is survived by her mother, Amaryllis of South Dakota; four brothers, Charles K. and wife, June, John K. and wife, Dawn, Peter G. and Brian L. and wife, Lori, all of Britton, S.D.; sisters, Mary J. Rabenberg and husband, Richard Allen, of Lincoln, Neb., Anne Zittlow and husband, Gary, of St. Cloud, Minn., and Judith R. Stevens of Longmont, Colo.; very close friends, Alden Bunker Sr. and wife, Marion, Mike Bunker and his soul mate, Karen Kenney, all of Franklin; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Liz will be missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her father, Charles R. Rabenberg in 1999. A special thanks to Dr. A. Merrill Garrett and the staff at Eastern Maine Medical Center CancerCare of Maine for the wonderful and compassionate care of Liz. A reception celebrating Liz’s life will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at David A. Hooper Lodge, Sullivan. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. May 26, in Britton, S.D.
