GUILFORD – Elizabeth Marion Martell, 73, died May 30, 2004, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born Jan. 22, 1931, in Monson, the daughter of Urbane and Mary (Frost) Jones. She worked for Hardwood Products Co. in Guilford for many years. She was a great cook and especially enjoyed sharing with others. A great storyteller, Liz would often even provide the listener with a copy, so that they in turn could relate the story to others. She is survived by three sons, Fred Martell Jr. and his girlfriend, Leslie Elston, of Casco, Charles Martell and his wife, Laurie, of Guilford, and Peter Martell and his wife, Lisa, of Guilford; a stepson, Ronald Martell and his wife, Ashley, of Guilford; two daughters, Jo Lemar and her husband, Steve, of Dexter, and Jenny Martell of Bangor; five granddaughters and a grandson; four step-grandsons; and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Ivan Jones and his wife, Flo, of California; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred W. Martell, in 1997; a sister, Pauline Brink; and three brothers, Volney Jones, Fransic Jones and Thaxter Jones. She will be fondly remembered by “the girls” and all her friends at Riverbend Homes. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. A graveside committal service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2004, at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Oncology Clinic, care of Mayo Regional Hospital, 897 W.
