ISLAND FALLS – Elizabeth S. Fogg passed March 16, 2005, in the presence of her family. She was born Nov. 15, 1919, in Ashland, the daughter of Leroy and Harriette (Adams) Savage. Pony graduated from Oakfield High School in 1938 and married Colby Fogg in Arlington, Va. in 1942. She worked in Washington, D.C. at the Pentagon with the CIA, was on the Rationing Board as chief clerk in Island Falls; worked at the Henry Libby Soil Conservation Service, and the office of Paul Crabtree; as a teachers aide in Island Falls Schools and spent the last 17 years working as a bookkeeper at Island Falls Cedar Mill. She was a former member of the OES and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Pony enjoyed golfing, bowling, bridge, knitting, and crocheting. She was an avid crafter and participated in various craft fairs. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy and her husband, Michael Pullen, of Old Town; a close niece, Annette Stevens; and leaves behind a special pet “Sassy”. Pony was predeceased by her husband, Colby; six brothers and sisters, Viola Johnston, Alan Savage, Nedra Nightingale, Lewis Savage, Eva Michaud, and Milford Savage. A special thank you to all those who helped make Pony’s final days comfortable. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Bowers Funeral Home, Sherman Street, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Rodger Goode officiating. Spring interment will be in Island Falls Cemetery. A time of fellowship will be held directly after the services at Pony’s home.
