FEEDING HILLS, Mass. – Elizabeth T. “Betty” (Ryther) Nystrom, 75, and a former resident of Pembroke died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004. She was born in Sayville, Long Island, N.Y. Betty lived on Long Island and enjoyed her family and boating until moving to Maine in 1971. She resided in Pembroke where the family ran a motel and restaurant business. Later she retired and traveled across the United States in an RV accompanied by her sister-in-law, mother-in-law and a family friend. She finally settled in Bartow, Fla., where she lived for 12 years before moving to Feeding Hills, Mass., to live with her daughter. She will be sadly missed and forever in our thoughts and in our hearts. Betty is survived by a son, Carl Nystrom and his wife, Sandra, of Pembroke; daughters, Carol Patrick and her husband, John, of Feeding Hills, Mass. and Susan Wentworth and her husband, Thomas, of Pembroke; brother, Charles Ryther of Lakeland, Fla., with whom she spent many warm winters; grandchildren, Gwen, Shawn, and Tyler Nystrom, Jason Patrick and his wife, Jessi and Kirsten Patrick, Justin Wentworth; and six great-grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her husband, William Nystrom in 1978; and a granddaughter, Crystal Murano in 1998. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Colonial-Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, Mass.
