HOULTON and ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Ella V. Tracy, 77, passed away June 7, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Houlton, daughter of John and Margaret (Leighton) Young. Ella had a passion for life, living each moment to the fullest. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her father and mother, John and Margaret Young; her husband of 50 years, Beecher “B.T.”; one sister, Madeline; and five brothers, George, Aubrey, Leverett, Hershel and Kenneth. She is survived by three brothers, William of Oxford, England, John and his wife, Burnett, of Rockland and Bernard and his wife, Rose, of Fayetteville, N.C.; four children, Sharon Sherman and her husband, Larry, of Bangor, Robert Tracy and his wife, Connie, of Derwood, Md., Michael Tracy and his wife, Cindy, of Waldoboro and Bruce Tracy and his wife, Cara, of Matthews, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Michael Sherman of Tuscalossa, Ala., Kimberly (Sherman) Jameson of Orrington, Arin (Tracy) Joudrey and her husband, Darryl, of Hollis, Sara (Tracy) Crooker and her husband, Toby, of New Harbor, Brian Tracy of Derwood, Md., Amanda Tracy of Derwood, Md., Sam Tracy of Matthews, N.C., Griffin Tracy of Matthews, N.C., and Makenna Tracy of Matthews, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Jenna Jameson of Orrington, Dominic Joudrey of Hollis, Cameron Joudrey of Hollis and Olivia Crooker of New Harbor; also several nieces and nephews. A graveside service for family and friends will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton, with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating.
