LIMESTONE – Elizabeth “Mabel” Edgecomb St. Pierre, 93, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008, at a Caribou nursing home. Mabel was born Feb. 12, 1915, at Cyr Plantation, the daughter of Laurence and Lucie (Violette) Roy. She was a lifelong resident of Limestone. She was also a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church, member of Daughters of Isabella, Pythian Sisters Order in the early-1950s, as well as Limestone Senior Citizens Group. She was a loving mother to her six children, Donna Roix of Navarre, Fla., Reginald Edgecomb Sr. and his wife, Linda, of Limestone, Sharon Schrum and her husband, Robert, of Limestone, Larry Edgecomb and his wife, Marie, of Whitesburg, Tenn., Joane Cellini and her husband, Michael, of Windsor, Conn., and Earl W. Edgecomb, who predeceased her in 1966; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mabel was predeceased by two husbands, Walter W. Edgecomb in 1957 and Louis St. Pierre in 1984, with whom she remarried in 1962; as well as two grandchildren; a grandson, Reginald W. Edgecomb Jr. in 1998; and a granddaughter, Darci in 2003. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone, with Father Jean-Paul Labrie, celebrant. Interment will take place after the service at Advent Cemetery, Limestone. There will be no visitation, so the family invites all to hospitality in the church hall after the committal. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in Mabel’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 170 U.S. Route 1, Suite 250 Falmouth, ME 04105 or St. Louis Catholic Church Building Fund, envelopes will be provided at the church for both charities.
