VAN BUREN – Patricia Deschaine Gervais, 76, died June 7, 2008, at a Caribou hospital after a long illness. She was born April 29, 1932, in Keegan, the daughter of Levite and Emily (Cote) Carrier. Pat is survived by her husband, Patrick Gervais Sr. of Van Buren; one son, Rodney Deschaine and his wife, Danielle, of Fort Fairfield; three stepsons, Patrick Gervais Jr. and his wife, Robbin, of Darlington, Md., Allen Gervais and his wife, Jennifer, of St. Agatha and Terrence Gervais of Madawaska; one stepdaughter, Kathy Pelletier and her husband, Glenn, of Fort Kent; two grandchildren, Chad Deschaine and Nadine Deschaine; five great-grandchildren, Caleb, Zander and Karsen Page, Logan and Nickie Deschaine; nine stepgrandchildren, Matthew, Katelyn, Joshua and Jamie Pelletier, Amanda, Erica, Joshua, Shania and Chance Gervais; two great-stepgrandchildren, Alexis and Christopher Baker; one sister, Levita Rousseau of Massachusetts; one brother, Melchior Carrier of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Albert H. Deschaine in 1979; and by four brothers, Rudolph in 1985, Rosaire in 1986, Marius in 1991 and Valdor in 1995. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be at the parish cemetery.
