PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Dorothy (Arsenault) Curit, 81, died peacefully May 28, 2008, at home, after a long battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 18, 1926, to the late Arthur and Mildred Arsenault. Dorothy was predeceased by five brothers, Harold, Wayne, Raymond, Edmund and Daniel Arsenault; one sister, Mona Gault; and nephew, Michael Gault. Dorothy leaves behind a daughter, Gloria Shiro and husband, John, of California; a son, George Curit and wife, Sharon, of Hiram; grandchildren, Kelly, Ingrid, Heather, Stacy and George Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Connor; and one brother, Richard Arsenault of Arizona. Also surviving are niece and nephew, Susan Gault of Punta Gorda, Fla., and David Gault of Bangor, who were thought of as daughter and son to Dorothy, who raised them since childhood; Susan’s children, Travis, Riley, Joshua and Hannah; David’s daughter, Brittany; along with many other nieces and nephews.
