FORT FAIRFIELD – Mrs. Ellen L. Morrow, 86, wife of the late Archie Morrow, died Sunday afternoon, March 14, 2004, at a Mars Hill nursing facility, following a long illness. She was born Oct. 31, 1917, at Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Alan W. and Stella (McDougal) Day. She attended local schools and was married to Archie Morrow on Nov. 1, 1941. Mrs. Morrow was employed by Potato Service, Presque Isle, and the A&P Plant, Fort Fairfield, for many years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Roland Morrow; a granddaughter, Lisa Morrow; a brother, William Day; a sister, Marcia Ward. She is survived by two sons, Robert Morrow, Eugene Morrow and his wife, Lois, all of Fort Fairfield; one sister, Margaret Holmes of Fort Fairfield; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 11:30-1 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Leslie Hardgrove officiating. Interment will take place at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, later in the spring. A time of fellowship with refreshments will be held at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield, immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, those who choose may contribute in memory of Mrs. Morrow to a charity of one’s choice.
