ELLSWORTH – Ellen Sargent Sullivan, 91, surrounded by her loving family, died Oct. 26, 2003. She was born March 21, 1912, in Winter Harbor, the daughter of Elwood and Martha (Turner) Sargent. Ellen was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by one son, Philip Sargent and his wife, Beulah, of Lamoine; a daughter-in-law, Carol Sargent of Stafford, Texas; two step-daughters, Ruth Foster of Ellsworth, and Patricia Forrest and her husband, James, of Napa, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lori, Leon, Philip, Adam, Julie, John, Michael, Missy, Jennifer, Jacquelyn, Anne Marie and Daniel; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her first husband, Elwin Sargent, in 1950; her second husband, John F. Sullivan, in 1989; and a son, Clyde Sargent, in 2001. Graveside memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at the West Gouldsboro Cemetery with the Rev. David Henry officiating. If friends desire, they may make donations in Ellen’s memory to the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, 50 Union St., Ellsworth. Arrangements are by Jordan Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
