FLORENCE, S.C. – Elmer Elsworth Fuller Jr., 88, who retired from The Coca-Cola Company, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at Methodist Manor. Known as “Tom,” Mr. Fuller was born Sept. 5, 1917, in Hollidaysburg, Pa. and grew up in Falmouth, Mass. A graduate of Williston Academy and Princeton University, Class of 1940, he served as a captain with the 106th Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, during World War II. After the war, he married Ellen O’Neil of Providence, R.I. They lived briefly in Falmouth, Mass. and Chicago, IlI., before Mr. Fuller was transferred to the Atlanta office of The Coca-Cola Company, where they lived until his retirement in 1980. The Fuller’s maintained homes in Pennsylvania and Maine until the year 2000, when they settled in Searsport and spent winter months in Florence, S.C. Mr. Fuller is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ellen; their daughters, Cynthia Fuller and Marion Aller, both of Tallahassee, Fla.; and sons, Mark Fuller of Florence, S.C. and Andrew Fuller of Smyrna, Ga.; grandchildren, Rachel Fuller McFarland, Stuart Fuller and Christopher Cotterell; and great-grandchildren, Ella and Macy Fuller and Seneca McFarland. A memorial service is scheduled 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, in the Chapel of the Methodist Manor of the Pee Dee. A graveside service will be held in the summer in the Elmwood Cemetery, Searsport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the, National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 Ninth Ave., NW, Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494. Cain Funeral Home is assisting the family.
