PITTSFIELD and CORINNA – Eloise R. Larrabee, 93, widow of Merle L. Larrabee, died Dec. 3, 2003, at a Pittsfield healthcare facility. She was born June 26, 1910, in Lynn, Mass., a daughter of Stephen and Avis (Jones) Ranney. After moving to Corinna at a young age, she attended Corinna schools, including Corinna Union Academy. She graduated from Alberta Business College in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. After returning to Corinna, she worked at the Corinna Post Office for 27 years. She also worked at the Snowflake Canning Company in Corinna. She was predeceased by a sister, Marguerite Beattie in 1967. Eloise is survived by a nephew, Robert Beattie; and two nieces, Gloria McNichol and Joyce Williams, all of Pittsfield. A graveside committal service will be held in the spring at North Newport Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
