ELSIE ‘ARDIE’ A. DAVIES BREWER – Elsie A. Davies, 97, died Aug. 14, 2008, at a Brewer health care facility. She was born May 13, 1911, in Brewer, daughter of Thomas and A. Jewell (Ring) Davies. Elsie was a graduate of Brewer High School in 1928 and a Beals Business College graduate. She was employed by Bangor Hydro-Electric Co., for more than 50 years. Elsie was a member and past president of Bangor-Brewer Business and Professional Women’s Club and member and past president of Kings Daughters. She is survived by her sister, Inez D. Getchell of Brewer; two nieces, Louise Farnham of Brewer and Lauralee Sevigny of Holden; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer, with the Rev. Dr. George Curtis III, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Brewer, officiating.
