BUCKSPORT – Elsie Cecilia (Bolin) Nason, 93, died March 10, 2004, at her home in Bucksport. She was born Jan. 12, 1911, in Bucksport, the only child of Edward and Clara (Johnson) Bolin. She graduated from the Eastern Maine Conference Seminary in Bucksport and attended Husson College. She married Richard E. Nason of Orrington and together they operated Bolin’s Market on Main Street in Bucksport. They also operated Nason Coal and Oil Company for many years as well as owning and managing several apartment buildings in the town. She was a life member of Riverview Rebekah Lodge No. 49 of Bucksport (now Vashti No. 35 of Orrington) and Felicity Chapter OES of Bucksport. She is survived by one son-in-law, Raymond W. Wardwell of Verona Island; two daughters-in-law, Lorna M. Nason of Bucksport and Sally J. Nason of Orland; 10 grandchildren, Deborah J. Boretsky of Columbus, Ga., Dianna J. Pecic of Alexandria, Va., Kenneth E. Nason of Hermon, Jayson E. Nason of Bucksport, Cindy L. Jones of Orland, George E. Nason, Keith E. Nason, Kevin E. Nason, Dennis E. Nason, all of Bucksport, and Darrin E. Nason of Bangor. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, and her four children, Phyllis E. Wardwell, John E. Nason, Clarence E. Nason, and Alden E. Nason. She was also predeceased by one grandson, Richard Nason. Per Elsie’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. Family and friends are invited to the Silver Lake Cemetery in Bucksport for a graveside service, 1 p.m. Sunday, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating.
