BOOMER, N.C. – Enoil Joseph “Charlie” Nadeau, 56, of Phillips Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at his home. He was born Feb. 27, 1951, in St. Francois, New Brunswick, to Normand and Magella Roux Nadeau. He was a 1970 graduate of Stearns High School, Millinocket. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. After his military service, he worked for 20 years as a nurse. He was of the Catholic faith. He was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Nadeau; and a stepson, Phillip Aaron Bare. Survivors include father, Normand Nadeau of St. Francis, New Brunswick; mother, Magella Roux Nadeau of Bangor; two brothers, Jimmy Nadeau and wife, Leila, of Suffolk, Va., and Ronald Joseph Nadeau of Boomer, N.C.; one sister, Norma Ewing and husband, Rick, of Windham; one stepdaughter, Christina Bare of Ashe County, N.C.; nephews, Adam Ewing, Eric Ewing, Noah Nadeau, and Matthew Nadeau and wife, Rachel; nieces, Jill Coffey and husband, Bobby, Sarah Nadeau and Linah Nadeau. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Scenic Memorial Gardens with Brother James Pate officiating. Full military honors will be accorded by VFW Post 1142.
